Hello, welcome. My name is Michelle Santos, and I am a creative multi-disciplinary registered graphic designer with 20+ years of design experience conceptualizing, coordinating, art direction, leading, and managing teams. I developed a broad scope for design by working in various public and private sectors within corporate communications, marketing, and design agencies in Toronto and the USA.
Having worked in various industry sectors, I developed a highly refined skill set with unique perspectives and oversight towards approaching design, and executing the end product by including strategies with more accessible and inclusive solutions.
My areas I enjoy working are; identities and branding systems, multi-layer strategy campaigns, print production and quality control, digital and print collateral, corporate communication programs, advertising, information design, environmental design, digital curating, and large events while honing the Accessibility of Ontario Act (AODA) compliance and remediation knowledge. I have also managed logistics for significant community large events, sponsorships, investor conferences, roadshows, meetings, product launches and networking events in Canada and the USA.
Along the way, I developed the belief that there is more to design and communications. It has the power to affect positive change in our community through relationships, responsible, thoughtful, and creative practices. It involves innovative thinking, dynamic problem-solving, attention to detail, being a good listener, observer, empathy and targeting solutions that deliver clear, concise communication to strengthen the experience and message to its audience.
